What level of hospital cover is right for you?
We believe in making life as simple and as uncomplicated as possible, so we offer two hospital products for you to choose from.

Hospital cover helps with the costs of:
- Hospital accommodation - whether same-day, overnight or long-stay
- Operating theatre fees
- Doctors’ charges for in-hospital treatment
- Pharmaceuticals supplied in-hospital
- Prostheses, e.g. pacemakers, hip joints etc.

Covers up to 100% of the costs of being a private patient in both private and public hospitals.
This is set and forget, comprehensive health insurance.

Covers the cost of a shared ward in a public hospital. Designed for members who are living in rural areas without access to private hospitals. Will cover you for urgent medical procedures but timing of elective surgery is likely to be affected by public hospital waiting lists. Choice of doctor limited to those doctors associated with the public hospital. |
* Public Hospital cover is not available in the Northern Territory. Current members moving to the Northern Territory are able to upgrade their cover to Top Hospital without the imposition of waiting periods.
Step 2: Decide if you want an excess or not
If you choose Top Hospital cover, you can reduce your premium by choosing to pay an excess if and when you receive hospital treatment. The excess you choose is payable once per policy per financial year, and is only applied to adults. Your dependent children are exempt from the excess payment.
Step 3: Choose who is to be covered
The premiums you pay for health insurance will vary depending on who is to be covered by the policy:
- Single policies cover you or your partner or your child.
- Couple policies cover you and your partner.
- Family policies cover you, your partner and your children.
- Single parent family policies cover one parent and your children.
