Defence Health offers policies which cover the following combinations of eligible persons:
- Single policy covers one person, who may be an adult or a child
- Couples policy covers an adult and the adult's partner
- Single parent family policy covers a single parent and their child/children
- Family policy covers an adult, the adult's partner and their child/children
Defence Health's special 'ADF' range
Defence Health's special 'ADF' range of health insurance products are designed specifically for members of the Permanent Navy, Army and Air Force who do not require cover themselves. These policy types are offered:
ADF Single policy covers:
- a serving member's partner, or
- the child of a sole serving parent or of two serving parents
ADF Family policy covers:
- a serving member's partner and child/children, or
- two or more children of a sole serving parent or of two serving parents. In this case the sole serving parent or one of the two serving parents would also be covered.
The policy holder can be the ADF member or the ADF member's partner. We would encourage the ADF member to be the policy holder. If you wish to pay premiums by Military allotment the policy holder myst be the ADF member.
