Modern Slavery Statement

You might not realise it, but there are thousands of people in Australia right now – and globally – who suffer from serious exploitation.

Wherever it occurs, it has terrible consequences for victims and creates damaging distortions to markets. Perpetrators of modern slavery use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom. Defence Health is committed to ensuring modern slavery has no place in our operations.

The Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act 2018 guides us – and other Australian businesses – to identify and address the risk to vulnerable people and to maintain responsible and transparent supply chains.

Defence Health will report annually on the integrity of our supply chain and the government will make these statements available to the public through an online central register.
