Travel insurance COVID-19 refund update
Defence Health’s travel insurance partner, Allianz Global Assistance (Allianz), is currently reviewing customer refund requests for unused travel insurance cover due to COVID-19 restrictions. Each refund request is being individually evaluated to determine eligibility for a partial or full refund.
If you purchased travel insurance before 27 March 2020 that was unable to be used due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund of the cost of your policy. Defence Health recommends you contact Allianz on [email protected] or 1800 622 499 with the details of your policy to determine your eligibility.

If you have a complaint or dispute in relation to this insurance, or the services or representatives of Allianz Global Assistance, please call them or put your complaint in writing. Allianz Global Assistance will attempt to resolve the matter in accordance with their Internal Dispute Resolution process. To obtain a copy of their procedures, please contact them.
