Important information and emergency assistance
Sometimes events taking place in your travel destination can affect your arrangements while travelling, or your preparations for travel. When a major event occurs, the travel insurance underwriter will issue a travel alert. Depending on the nature and timing of the event, some restrictions may be placed on the level of cover provided by your travel insurance.
Please review the current travel alerts issued for Defence Health travel insurance.
You should also be aware of any Australian Government warnings and advice about travel in certain countries or regions. You can search for any warnings for your destination at smartraveller.gov.au
It’s also important when travelling to follow international health warnings and advice to protect your health. Please review the latest information available from the World Health Organization.
